The Bone Thugs-N-Harmony legend has been sedated and placed on a breathing machine.

Krayzie Bone is reportedly fighting for his life in the hospital. According to AllHipHop, the rap legend is in critical condition after suffering an intense cardiovascular condition. The Bone Thugs-N-Harmony emcee was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Friday (Sept. 22) after allegedly coughing up blood.

The outlet reports that the rapper underwent CAT scans with analysis showing a leaky artery present in his lung. The entertainer, né Anthony Henderson, was then subjected to an emergency surgery to halt the bleeding. However, his artery failed to stop bleeding, and Henderson was placed on a breathing machine.

Henderson, 50, reportedly suffers from sarcoidosis. According to the American Lung Society, sarcoidosis is “an inflammatory disease in which the immune system overreacts, causing groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissue called ‘granulomas’ in one or more organs of the body.”

Word of Krayzie Bone’s hospitalization spread throughout the internet and Cleveland celebrities offered their prayers. “Pray 4 Kray,” Bizzy Bone typed on his Instagram Story. “Can’t sleep. Sometimes you just gotta pray.” “Prayin for you Kray,” Kid Cudi tweeted. “Prayers to Krayzie Man!!!” LeBron James tweeted.

The sad news arrives a month after the group was honored with their own street in Cleveland. In August 2023, the City of Cleveland held a two-hour ceremony honoring Bone Thugs. The event occurred at the intersection the quintet popularized in their music. The group paid homage to the streets on their 1995 album E. 1999 Eternal.

The Spread the Love Foundation, Cleveland City Councilman Anthony Hairston, and Ward 10 unveiled Bone Thugs N Harmony Way at the commemoration. The organization called the honor a testament to their influence on the community and their impact on the world.

Krayzie Bone recently talked to Rock The Bells about the famous intersection, and delved into the street’s importance to the Bone Thugs brand. “Growing up on that street was crazy,” Krayzie said. “We had many, many adventures on that street. We got in so much trouble. Our street was 99th and St. Clair, but we renamed our street because of the two nine —the 99 — we called it ‘Double Glock.’”

“Everything really did birth who we really were in that era. We had started rapping together back in junior high school, then it carried over to high school until we got out of school. When we’d get out of school, that’s when all of us were on 99th. We was definitely focused on our music around the time we was on 99th for sure.”
