Denise “The Diva” Brooks, the charismatic host of the syndicated radio show The Diva‘s Den, has a journey that’s as captivating as her on-air persona. Originally from Columbus, Mississippi, Denise once dreamed of a career in interior design, never envisioning the radio waves as her future canvas.
Her unexpected foray into the radio industry began in her sophomore year of college when she took a summer job as a traffic manager at WCBI Radio Station. This role marked the start of her storied career, leading to her first announcer position at WMBC Country Radio Station in her hometown of Columbus, Mississippi.
Over the past three decades, Denise has built an impressive resume, holding noteworthy positions across various stations:
– Director of Urban Programming and Announcer for iHeart Radio Stations WZLD (Wild 106.3) and WJKX (102JKX) in Hattiesburg/Laurel, Mississippi.
– Music Director and Midday Announcer at WIMX (Mix 95.7) in Toledo, Ohio.
– Midday Announcer at WMXU in Columbus, Mississippi.
– Morning Show Co-Host, Entertainment News Director, and Quiet Storm Host at WACR in Columbus, Mississippi.
Denise’s life off-air is filled with hobbies that spark her creativity and passion. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, baking, and photography, pursuits that complement her dynamic career in broadcasting.

Denise has been honored with numerous awards, including recognition from the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters, Jackson Music Awards, and the Hattiesburg, Ms Service To The People for Community Service. Additionally, she has been named CC Employee of the Year among other accolades.
